Whaaat? Megan is getting married and you are all invited to get her really drunk beforehand? That sounds awesome! This is an open format party where Megan and I will be traveling around to each event getting wasted and having a blast. You can jump on and off the party train at any point in the day. Please let me know which events you intend to take part in.
What to Bring: Undies for the Undies Brunch, Size Medium. More alcohol is welcome.
What to Do: Be ready to have a good time!! Also, let me know which events you will be attending so I can have a generalized head count. Yes, you can change your mind and attend them all.

The Fun Part: Eating breakfast and gearing up for the day.
Game: If you attend, please bring a new pair of underwear for Megan. This could be a pair that represents your and Megan's relationship or something totally hilarious. They should be size medium so that the bride can wear them on her honeymoon an in her marriage. However, the bride will open all of the gifts and have to guess who got the underwear for her. So don't put a card on them! If she guesses your gift correctly, you will receive a drink coupon for Aura that evening.

The Fun Part: What do you mean? You shoot guns! Any gun you want, as many rounds as you want. You are the master of your own aggression reduction.

The Fun Part: Eating! Teppanyaki grills are dinner and a show. Also, more drinking!

Price: $50 pays for Megan's meal and cocktails at dinner.

Aura Happy Hour: 8:00pm-9:00pm
The Fun Part: Whenever we get done with supper, the party really gets started at the Silver Legacy. We have a room at the hotel where we can change and get into club clothes. Happy hour means that we can get cheap drinks. (Remember those drink coupons from brunch?) We can also pre-game in the room with provided adult beverages.
Game: Suck for a buck. Megan will be wearing a t-shirt that is covered in life savers. The t-shirt will say "Suck for a buck." Each person who would like to get a life saver off of Megan's shirt, can do so for $1. (Or they can buy her a drink, whatever.)

Price to the Individual: Free! No Cover! Booya! You can use the drink tickets you won at brunch to pay for drinks. Or you can drink in the room. Otherwise, you can buy cocktails at the bar for happy hour prices! This is by far the cheapest event. See? I built in something for everyone!

The Fun Part: Dancing and Dancing. This is when we get our groove on. Once the DJ turns on the music, we go. Table and bottle service will help to get the party started. Wandering around from bar to bar is a given. Finally, we will probably end up in the room for some nigh caps.

Price: $300 Bottle service is expensive, yo! But we all get to drink it and it gives us a table. (this is the price for 2 bottles, something bubbly and something still.)
Price to the Individual: Free! No Cover! Booya! You can use the drink tickets you won at brunch to pay for drinks or drink the table drinks. Or you can drink in the room. Otherwise, you can buy more cocktails.
Other Fine Print: Other expenses include food for Soak and food and drinks for the room at the Silver Legacy. The room at the Silver Legacy to be our base of operations and to get to and fro. $150 for all of that.
This is a day of fun and adventure for Megan so we are going
to all chip in to pay her way. At each event you will pay individually for
whatever you want to do. Brunch is included, Table and Bottle Service are
included, and drinks in the room at the Silver Legacy are included in the
$150/person price.

ReplyDeleteHey guys. Thank you to everyone who has looked over this itinerary and gotten back to me. Please do not think that the $150 is compulsory. That number is based on 6 attendees splitting the cost equally. Usually everyone chips in a bit to make sure that the bride is taken care of - and that is why I have tried to make everything as transparent as possible above.
ReplyDeletePlease note the free portions of the events: the Brunch and the main event at Aura. I requested that we chip in to help Megan fund that venture. It was her idea to get everyone fed before the party and I don't want her to go it alone in light of the impending wedding.
That being said please just contribute what you can to her day. If you would rather pay for a particular event, we can arrange that as well. Nothing is set in stone so please do not be put off by my (sometimes too honest) accounting of what it may cost for this night to take place.
Please come and enjoy the events and the evening celebrating Megan's last night as a free woman. - buy Megan a drink if that is all you can contribute. The point is to make this as fun and as stress free as possible.
